My Personal Story

My own journey of self-discovery has led me here to help you. I was in my late thirties when I reached burnout due to an accumulation of work stress, complicated relationships and struggling to cope with my late father’s illness. I was always tired, lacked the energy to do things I’d usually enjoy and couldn’t switch off from the stressors in my life.

Today, I’m in a much healthier place. And that’s because I discovered the emerging field of lifestyle medicine, mastered my mindset and integrated the positive intelligence work into my life.

I used this framework to move from stress, overwhelm, self-doubt, exhaustion and frustration to trusting myself, having clarity and focus, feeling motivated and energised in my personal and professional life.

Now, as a lifestyle medicine physician and certified health and performance coach, I can help you transform your health – and life – too.

When I’m not busy working, I like to keep active. I can often be found out walking in North Yorkshire with one of my four-legged furry friends or scaling the walls of an indoor climbing centre!

Using a holistic approach, I bridge the gap between the outside (lifestyle factors) and the inside (your physiology). I’ll teach you the changes you need to master your mindset, reverse lifestyle-related ill health and bring your body and mind back into balance for the long term.

I qualified as a doctor in 2002 and passed my entrance exams to the Royal College of Physicians and the Royal College of General Practitioners. In 2018, I obtained a diploma in Lifestyle Medicine and now teach fellow doctors and students in this subject. I also oversee a health coaching service within the NHS.
